Finding something for the kids to do on holiday is always a pain. They’re often too young to care about the historic landmarks and are too old for the silly entertainment options typically offered at holiday parks back home. And on top of that, you need to find something that the whole family can enjoy.
Visit Limassol on the island of Cyprus this summer and treat yourself to a day at the Fasouri Watermania Waterpark. It’s Cyprus’s biggest waterpark, and it welcomes both domestic and international visitors.
What Makes It a Must-Visit?
Fasouri Watermania Waterpark is one of the very few large-scale waterparks found in Cyprus. There’s so much more than the typical couple of swimming pools and poor-quality waterslide. You’ll never want to go back to the beach again as you take in the largest wave pool in Europe and the longest lazy river.
There was a reason why this attraction was named Europe’s leading waterpark at the World Travel Awards in 2007, and the qualities that made it the winner then are still very much evident now.
Welcome to Polynesia
The Fasouri Watermania Waterpark is perfect for all the family. A Polynesian theme dominates the park, making you feel as if you are in an exotic location at the edge of the world. The tropical décor makes it easy to cool down and escape from the hot Cypriot sun.
This is the place to entertain oneself in an environment that is safe, relaxing, and, most important of all, fun.
You’ll find that there’s something for everyone here. It matters not how young (or old) you are. You will find over 100,000 square metres of attractions and facilities, including two aqua tube slides, the Tarzan Swing, paddle boats, and the Kamikaze Slide.
A Perfect Way to Spend the Day
And even when you’re done paddling around in the water, you can still have a great time. With restaurants and bars located all around the park, you’ll never be too far from something delicious to eat and cool to drink. Every bar and restaurant are dotted with pergolas to keep you shaded and cool.
Satisfy your taste buds before starting your journey back to Limassol, whether by car or public transport.
If you’re staying in Limassol, you have a lot of options available for getting to the waterpark. The attraction takes its name from the area it’s situated in. The Fasouri district is just fifteen minutes outside of the centre of Limassol by car. It is also just a ten-minute from the Limassol-Paphos highway, so even if you’re coming from the other side of the island, the park is easy to find.
Since it’s so close to the city, you also have public transport options available. You can take a bus and a short walk, or you can take a cab right to the gates. It shouldn’t cost more than a few Euros to get you and the whole family there and ready to enjoy a great day of fun in the sun.
